The Scheuermann & Jones inland waterways section

concentrates on representing crewmembers of vessels plying

the inland waterways of the United States, including tugboats,

tow boats, barges and dredges. Most of these clients will be

seaman and have claims under the Jones Act and the General

Maritime Law of the United States. As a seaman, these clients

also have claims for maintenance and cure, which is the

seaman's form of worker's compensation. We will work hard

to ensure that our clients receive adequate medical care and

the benefits to keep their families going until trial or

settlement.
