Legal Malpractice

In Louisiana, medical malpractice cases are very difficult to prosecute. The underlying medicine is usually extremely complex, and the law is generally physician-favorable. However, if you believe that you, or someone you love, has been injured by physician or nursing neglect, you should seek the advice of a lawyer to review the medical records.

Remember that you have only one year from the date of an event to file your claim. The sole exception to that rule is that you may bring a claim within one year of the date you discover it, as long as you are within three years of the event. (In the case of death due to medical malpractice, you have one year from that date.) Not all bad outcomes are a result of negligence, so reviewing the medical record thoroughly is very important.

If you do have a claim, we have experienced persons ready and willing to help guide you through the process.
